Governance & Process
Standards & Lifecycle
Verdict criteria, operator trust analysis, certification lifecycle, and independence commitments.
- 01
Initial audit
Test the scoped games and publish the evidence.
- 02
Certification
Apply the verdict framework to the audit results.
- 03
Continuing checks
Re-check the live game and record any change.
Completed audits receive a Full Pass, Conditional Pass or Fail.
Verdict
Full Pass
Meaning
Every scored check passes. Flags raised about our own capture — for example, a response lost to a dropped connection and rebuilt from the revealed seed — are disclosed but never count against the casino.
Criteria
No hard fail or casino-side flag in S1–S5, and no enforced RTP-claim failure. S6–S7 complete.
Conditional Pass
Meaning
No hard fail and no manipulation detected, but at least one casino-side flag: an issue that doesn't break fairness — such as a server-filled default client seed — documented and disclosed in the report.
Criteria
No hard fail or enforced RTP-claim failure. Each casino-side flag is documented with explanation. S6–S7 complete.
Fail
Meaning
A fairness check fails, or an enforced RTP-claim check finds an overstated figure. The report distinguishes NOT PROVABLY FAIR from RTP FIGURE OVERSTATED; an overstated RTP figure does not by itself prove unfair draws.
Criteria
Any hard fail in S1–S5, or an enforced RTP-claim failure.
Provisional is a scope qualifier. An audited pre-launch build can receive Full Pass while confirmation of the production build remains pending. This is separate from an Incomplete audit.
Informational results — such as live-sample statistics — are published but never change the verdict. Rakeback, promotions and site-wide marketing figures are quoted in the report but not tested.
Certification gate
A casino receives the ProvablyFair.org Certified badge only when all games in the audit scope achieve a pass verdict (Full or Conditional), with S6 and S7 complete and published, and no game-integrity Fail left open where GI testing was done. S6 and S7 are not scored but are required deliverables — a game cannot be certified without player verification tools and a reproducible audit package.
