A provably fair game should be checkable after the fact — that is the entire point. Implemented correctly, it stops an operator steering results and lets anyone reproduce every bet, independently of the casino, at any time. Nowhere does that matter more than in a high-stakes dispute.
We took this case because it shows what goes wrong when the implementation falls short, the stakes run to eight figures, and the casino ends up checking its own work — while the player believed provably fair protected him. At minimum, the gaps documented below show players exactly what to look for.
Summary — The Two Issues
In May 2026 a player wagered $10,522,325 across 62 bets on a game displayed as “Slide — Winna Originals” and lost 61. Winna’s own records show those bets did not run on the public Slide: they ran on slide-vip — a private, account-gated in-house build, visually identical on screen, switched on for his account by an operator-side flag. Following @xxxmourn’s public investigation, the player, Heyri, referred the dispute to us directly, with consent. We have heard one side. This report documents, from Winna’s own live systems and public records, the two issues that need answers — and what Winna can publish to resolve them.

The disputed bets can’t be verified — at all.
Winna’s public bet pages and API serve no result, no target and no seeds for any of the 62 bets — we checked every one. That page is the whole point of provably fair — and bets from the day before and from the game launched two days after still resolve today. Section 3.

The VIP Slide had no independently verifiable lock on the outcome.
The seed data shows the Limbo formula with its safeguards absent: a fresh operator seed every bet, no published chain, nonce stuck at 0, and a client seed fixed to a 2023 Bitcoin block the player couldn’t change. We found no pre-bet commitment that the player or any third party could independently verify. Section 2.
On the record as it stands: not provably fair, and not independently verifiable.We found no independently verifiable commitment binding the operator before any disputed bet — the first public one for an in-house Slide was published on 18 May 2026, two days after the session ended — and Winna’s own systems can no longer state what happened in the 62 bets. We make no claim that any outcome was manipulated: under this design, manipulation can be neither proven nor disproven. That undecidability is the failure. Winna can still complete the record — section 4 sets out what would change this verdict.

Winna ran three different games under one on-screen name — “Slide” — in five days. That is not our reconstruction: Winna’s bet endpoint answers without a login (api2.winna.com/v2/bet/info?id=<betId>) and labels each bet itself. We queried every bet in the case — all 62 disputed, all 61 from the day before. All 123 resolved, and all 123 match the case-file lists exactly: game identity, stake, payout, timestamp to the millisecond. A fabricated ID would fail to resolve; a doctored figure would mismatch. None did. Every link is in section 5.
On 14 May the player won on a game Winna did not build or run: “Slide” that day was a third-party provider’s title, distributed white-label under Winna’s branding, with outcomes generated and recorded on the provider’s systems — not Winna’s. 61 bets, +$3.45M, and Winna’s API still serves the result of every one. From 15 May, the same screen — “Slide — Winna Originals” — was served by slide-vip, Winna’s own private in-house build, switched on per account by an operator-side flag (isSlideVipEnabled, in the era’s shipped code). Across 15–16 May: 62 bets at stakes up to $900,000, one win, −$9.62M — and no bet history or results survive anywhere on winna.com. On 18 May at 22:35 UTC, two days after the session ended, Winna published the seeding event that gives its public Slide a genuine pre-bet commitment; that game verifies today, and the VIP build was removed. Every figure in this table is confirmed, bet by bet, by Winna’s own live records.
The sequence is record, not insinuation: wins and losses prove nothing by themselves. What each game could prove is where they differ.
2The VIP Slide — No Verifiable Lock on the Outcome
On screen, slide-vip was indistinguishable from the public game — same name, same “Winna Originals” presentation; Winna’s live code still maps it to the same Slide component, provably-fair panel wired to this exact identifier. Off screen it was private and account-gated (“Internal House Games”). A private build is not disqualifying by itself. Everything turns on whether something locked the outcome before the bets.
The 60-second primer: seeds, nonces, and why order is everything.Every bet’s result comes from a public formula with three inputs. The server seed: the casino’s secret number — in a properly run scheduled game, one link in a pre-generated hash chain. The client seed: the one ingredient the casino must not choose — the player sets it, or in scheduled games like Slide it is the hash of a not-yet-mined Bitcoin block (exactly what Winna’s public Slide uses from 18 May). The nonce: a counter that ticks up each bet. Anyone can re-run the math — that is the “provable” part. But whoever is free to choose their input last, after the others are fixed, can determine the outcome: the casino can simply try seeds until it likes the result, and the reveal still looks honest. Everything therefore rests on the operator being locked to its seed before the bet — and there are exactly two ways to do that:
Lock A — player entropy
The server commits to
SHA256(serverSeed) first; the player can then change their client seed at will and a nonce advances every bet. The operator commits blind, so it cannot select outcomes. This is how Winna’s instant Originals (Limbo, Dice) work.Lock B — a pre-published seed chain + future entropy
For scheduled games: all seeds are generated up front as a hash chain and the chain’s terminus is published in advance, while the client seed is fixed by an event that hasn’t happened yet — the hash of a then-unmined Bitcoin block. Every round’s seed must hash back to the published terminus in exactly its round number of steps, so a swapped seed breaks the chain, detectably. Winna’s own fairness page states the purpose: to prove the operator didn’t “choose a hash with favourable or unfavourable results.” This is exactly how Winna’s current public Slide (18 May onwards) works — we verified it live.
The VIP Slide had neither. The server seeds Winna revealed to the player for three disputed bets, after the fairness data was requested (from the player’s case file — the one input here Winna’s live systems no longer serve), settle the configuration by themselves: the charged results reproduce under exactly one parameter set — Winna’s Limbo formula, with every safeguard absent — and under no other documented one:

A fresh operator-generated server seed on every bet — three bets, three unrelated seeds: not one committed seed serving the session, and not a chain.
No published chain — and the revealed seeds show no sign of belonging to one. Three seeds from one session (bets 31, 34 and 47 of the 62): for a single chain to contain all three, each seed would have to reach another by repeated hashing. We searched 11,000,000 iterations in both encodings, under the same SHA-256 construction Winna’s own public Slide uses — none reaches any other, or any published value. On everything we tested, a chain produced later could not include the seeds Winna has already revealed; if Winna believes otherwise, the chain itself is the proof to publish — it takes minutes for anyone to check. (our recomputation — re-runnable, section 5)
Nonce stuck at 0 on every bet — the counter that is supposed to advance and change every result, frozen.
Client seed fixed to Bitcoin block 779588, mined 6 March 2023 — public for three years before the session, not changeable by the player (public blockchain). Winna’s own standard requires a then-unmined block.

With the client seed public for three years and the nonce frozen, the result of any candidate server seed is computable the moment it is generated — before any hash is shown, before any bet resolves. On the evidence available to us, the operator-controlled server seed was the only value capable of determining each outcome, and we found no publicly verifiable commitment constraining that choice; if an internal control existed, it has never been produced and is Winna’s record to show (section 4). The build being private removed the usual social check as well: nothing in the record shows any other account was invited to this build or played it — if one was, that too is Winna’s record to produce.
“The seeds reproduce the results” proves nothing.An operator who picks a losing seed and reveals it afterwards produces the identical match to an honest one. Reproduction is necessary, never sufficient — and even a hash shown before the bet binds a seed only after it has been chosen. Commitment after selection is not commitment.
Verdict: not provably fair.Neither lock existed. This configuration leaves outcome selection unconstrained by anything a player or third party could verify — and leaves the player no way, then or ever, to tell a fair bet from a selected one. We therefore make no claim that any outcome was manipulated: under this design that question is undecidable. Preventing exactly that is what provably fair is for.
3The Missing Bet History
Provably fair makes one promise: every bet gets a public page where the result and seeds can be checked. This section uses no player material at all — every row comes from Winna’s live systems and can be re-run by any reader today.

A complete sweep, not a sample: every bet in the case, checked one by one on 28 July 2026. For the disputed bets, Winna’s records contain no game outcome at all — the stake, the $0 payout and the timestamp are there; the result, target and seeds are not. The outcome field is not even zero: it is null on 61 of the 62, while the losing bets from the day before store an explicit 0. Only the 62 bets in between resolve to nothing. Why verification fails for precisely the disputed window is the first thing Winna needs to explain.

A $1 bet from July is fully provable. $10.5M from May resolves to nothing.The same three steps applied to any disputed bet fail at the first one: no seed, no result, and no commitment to verify against.
4Right of Reply — No Response
On 22 July we publicly invited Winna to complete the record: for all 62 bets, one row each — bet ID, timestamp, stake, the player’s target, the result, the server seed, and the hash shown before the bet — plus any other relevant information. Winna’s own fairness page confirms every one of these values should exist, and a functioning provably-fair system can export them in minutes; the row set would turn this dispute into arithmetic. Six days on: no response. The verdict stands on the record as served by Winna’s own systems.
We no longer expect a reply; the door stays open anyway. Anything Winna provides will be reviewed and this report updated in place, with the outcome published just as prominently either way. What would settle the question is anything showing the seeds were fixed before the bets — a commitment published before 15 May, or records from the time that someone other than Winna can vouch for. Nothing is off the table.
Two explanations belong with any response: why Winna’s systems serve no outcome data for exactly the disputed bets, and what commitment — if any — governed the VIP Slide on 15–16 May, before the 18 May seeding event.
